Prof. (Dr.) Rama Krushna Das holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Berhampur University, India. He retired as Deputy Director General (Scientist-G) from the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Bhubaneswar, Odisha, after successfully serving as the State Informatics Officer of NIC Mizoram for three years.

With over 37 years of distinguished experience in research, software development, capacity building, and digital transformation, he has made significant contributions to the fields of Computing, e-Governance, and Information Technology. His areas of expertise include Electronic Governance, Implementation Architectures and Strategies, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Digital Governance.

Dr. Das has authored and co-authored 52 peer-reviewed publications, including journal articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings. He has presented research papers and chaired technical sessions at numerous international conferences held across countries such as China, Egypt, Colombia, Estonia, the United States, South Korea, Portugal, and many others.

He serves as a regular Programme Committee Member of the International Conference on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance (ICEGOV) and the International Conference on eDemocracy & eGovernment (ICEDEG). His research excellence was recognized with the prestigious IEEE Best Paper Award at ICIT 2014.

In 2020, he successfully completed the international course “Smart Governance in Modern Society” organized by the e-Governance Academy, Tallinn, Estonia. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to e-Governance research and innovation, he received the Gold Award of Excellence from NIC Headquarters in 2021.

Dr. Das is a Life Member of the Computer Society of India (CSI) and the Odisha Information Technology Society (OITS). He is also a Professional Member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), USA.
