Mechanical Engineering

Gandhi School of Engineering is a leading Institute for Providing the quality education for mechanical engineering with well experienced faculty and well working Laboratory for our students. The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2008 with 120 students in a view to deleberate its modest share of Mechanical Engineering studentss for national needs. The students for the program are admitted through merit based counseling based by the guidelines of Odisha Government. The present intake of the department is 180 students. There are 10 faculty members and most of them are from renowned institutes across India.

Our areas of teaching include Engineering Design, Manufacturing Processes and Tools, Industrial Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Internal Combustion Engine & Automobile Engineering. Workshops, Machine shop, Kinematics lab and CAD lab are all provided with the latest equipment for training the students for building their knowledge about the practical world. The department has a well-established computer center with all the latest CAD software.

The department is offering the free course as well as the practical knowledge in all the semesters for our students. In order to encourage the students in activities other than regular academics, the department is running Gandhi innovation club and Cad Design Club for building the interpersonal skills of our students. Summer trainings are offered to students for developing their concept about the branch for adding some extra tag on their degree. We are focusing for building our students personality as per the industry demand. The areas offered in summer course are like CFD, Creo-PTC, ANSYS, CNC.
